Scooter Town offers an optional Scooter Protection Plan that reduces your financial liability in the event of accidental damage or theft of the scooter during your rental. This plan is designed to help you avoid unexpected repair or replacement charges and ensure a smoother rental experience.

✅ What’s Covered:

• Accidental damage to the scooter (e.g. cracked plastic, broken parts, cosmetic wear) sustained during normal and responsible use
• Theft, only if the scooter was locked properly with the lock provided, and used in accordance with our terms
• Full loss coverage, up to the retail value of the scooter, subject to proper evidence and police report
• Weather-related damage, only if the scooter was not intentionally left outdoors overnight or in unsafe conditions (e.g., heavy rain, flooding)

❌ What’s Not Covered:

• Damage caused by reckless behaviour, negligence, or misuse (e.g., riding on stairs, sand, gravel, or in water)
• Theft when the scooter was left unlocked, unattended in an open area, or not secured with the provided lock
• Any intentional damage, false theft claims, or fraudulent activity
• Damage from use in prohibited conditions, including being left exposed in the rain overnight or submerged
• Personal injury, medical costs, or third-party liability

This plan does not include accident insurance, public liability insurance, or any medical coverage for the rider or others.

Important Information

• The Scooter Protection Plan is optional, but highly recommended.
• If declined, you are fully responsible for any damage or loss, up to the full retail cost of the scooter.
• A valid police report is required in all theft cases. Claims without evidence will be denied.
• This plan is non-refundable. Once purchased, the fee is retained regardless of whether any claim is made or not.
• The Protection Plan is calculated as a percentage of your total rental cost, shown at checkout.

It does not provide coverage for injuries, accidents, or third-party damages. Customers who want personal accident insurance or liability coverage must arrange this independently.
